Mk4, changing indicators to USA spec

Any1 have a clue how to change to front headlight indicators to USA spec, this means the amber lights in constantly lite up and flash wen indicatating, I've seen it done but I wana do it..

us golfs don't have this... they have side markers in bumper which are constantly lit up when the side lights are on an indicators...iirc

This.

There is a thread on uk-mkivs about using the indicators as running lights, I think the verdict was that it's possible but a lot of work.

It could be done using a relay, but you'd probably need to change the flasher module for one that isnt load sensitive (i.e. an electronic flasher) or it'll mess up the flash rate of your indicators.

more importantly would it be legal to have indicators constantly lit up? and would you want to, cause I think it would be very easy for people to think your indicating when your not and you will see a lot of people pulling out on you.

Doubt it is legal, seems a daft idea to me tbh.

There is laws covering what colour lights can be seen from each side of the vehicle. White and amber from the front. Amber at the sides. Red, Amber and white (only when reverse is engaged) at the rear. No other light other than directional indicators/hazards should flash.
