Hi there, have enjoyed reading this forum for some time so have got round to joining.
I previously owned a 2006 Mk5 Gti which I bought new and loved that car. Only a house sale and money burning a hole in my pocket sent me back to BMW for a 330i M sport coupe.
These days a have a 2013 A4 Avant Quattro 177tdi Black Edition in black which is the sensible family choice but still looks fairly mean.
This replaced a 2006 A4 Avant Quattro 2.0 Tfsi which I bought primarily as it had the same engine as my mk5. I then had it remapped which totally transformed the car.
When I bought the new Audi I had been looking at the Mk6 Gti but knew it was due to be replaced at some point so didn't bother. The Mk7 Gti then came out and I thought ...bugger!!
Solution : Talk the wife into getting a Mk7 Gti to replace her 2010 A3 1.8 TFsi.
After various trips to Audi looking at both the A1 and new A3 and me pointing out the increase in price and lack of standard options she finally succumbed .
She now has on order, via Drive the deal, a tornado red 5dr manual with ACC and winter pack.
As you will all be aware I only had her best interests at heart with no ulterior motives!!
