If you use your foglights when its not foggy or what not YOUR A COMPLETE BELLEND!! I hate people running around with their fogs on or even their crappy HID lights during the day when the visibility is clean as fook!. Farkin ar$eholes!! Have you tried the new cree bulbs? Or a headlight relay kit?
i have no intention of driving around in the day or when ever its light enough to not need my lights, hid or not. i dont see the point in it what so ever so why would i? like you said its for idiots or people who shouldnt be driving if they actually need there lights on.

Have you ever put your full beam on in fog? Makes visibility worse right?

Have you tried a different height position for your main beam?
My mk3 was fine and I could see plenty enough to drive at night with no street lights or full beam on.
Most importantly you should never make your lights brighter than what they should be. What about all the poor drivers coming the other way?
Your not just blinding them untill they pass, your are changing the retina inside the eye. It then takes 5 minutes for the retina to adjust bake to night mode to take in as much light as possible.
If its pooring with rain and you cant see nothing in front of you, then slow down as your driving too fast.
i have put full beam on in the fog, and yeh it makes it worse coz your lighting up all the fog right in your face. the point of fogs is too light up the road itself and get under the fog. my thinking is the better my fogs are the better im guna see when its foggy or very dark down the country roads.
and if hid are in the projector lenses which is where mine would be they shouldnt scatter the light everywhere. there so many new cars on the road now that everyone blinds everyone now anyway.
