Hi guys I'm just about to purchase a mk5 gti and will be having it tuned by apr and will be putting airride suspension on it. I'll be going for the slam kit but it says frame mods are required. Anybody know what these mods are appart from removal of the roll bar ? Thanks

You will need to notch the chassis legs to clear the driveshaft but I would check with your insurance company as a first step.

To see if its ok to cut into the chassis or to see if they will insure me ? All mods will be told to my insurance company as I'm not going to risk it like some others do

Speak to your insurance company with regards to the notch, as notching weakens the structural rigidity of the car, and as you can imagine may impact on the premium.
Google 'chassis notch' to see how extreme some people go.
