How much is something like that? I can sand and smooth them beforehand.

TBH I wouldn't bother, If I was doing it I'd chemically strip them, pressure clean, media blast, prep, prime, base, (in this case a butt load of masking and faff) black, clear, refit tyres, new valves, balance and fit back onto car.

That looks great, what sort of wear and tear does power coating take? It can't be chipped then start flaking off can it?

It will chip and bubble eventually, but it's probably the best you're going to get.

Took over a week, but guy kept changing his mind. So would have normally taken me about 2days.

General rule of thumb is powder correctly applied is 3 times more resistant to chipping than 2k paint.
