Question about Power Mirrors
« on: 16 September 2013, 12:39 »
Just a quick question about the power folding mirrors. My garage is pretty narrow for the GTD with the mirrors unfolded, so just wondering if you can have the mirrors fold via a setting or manually and still be able to drive the car into the garage?

You mean you use your garage for putting a car in!!??

I would imagine that there would be a button to manually fold the mirrors? (Like my X-Trail or C-Class before that)

There is indeed a button to fold them manually, so no worries

I think you use the adjust mirror button to fold them.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

You certainly used to be able to twizzle/push (can't remember which) in the nob on the door on the mk 6 to make them go in, I'm sure this same feature will exist on the mk 7.

At least your using it right! Most people I know use their garage as a storage facility for junk! (In fact I still have a 1994 MK1 Renault Laguna rear spoiler and steering wheel in my dads garage!

I've never understood why people fill their Garage with junk, and leave their car (which costs ten's of thousands in some cases) out exposed to the elements!

We moved two months ago and I now have a double garage with an electric garage door and loads of lighting. I will be able to sit in the car without the neighbours peeking at me.
