going down the 20vt route....

Hi guys
I have a abf in at the moment but its only half a job still running on k jet injectors
When it comes to get parts for the car i dont know if ots for the mk2 or mk3
Engines not running the best either so im.biting the bullet and going down the 1.8 20vt route

I just advice on what id need to make the conversion to a reasonable standard

Abvoiusly engine and all auxillires and gearbox manifold
Would i need to make any other adjustments to the car or is it failry easy??

Ideally want 180bhp engine but i know theres a 225bhp engine
Is the 225 harder to fit and need more adjustments??

Any advice on what needs to be done would be appreicated

The agu engine is 150 bhp but many have them tuned to around 215
The Bam engine is 225 bhp but is significantly more expensive to buy
The AUQ engine is the standard 180bhp.

Cheers for the response i have been told the 150bhp out of a ibiza is pretty much a straight swap is this true??

The aug engine is a straight swap which is found in the Ibiza, a3 and pre 2002 mk4 golf I think.

Ah i see so if i got engine and box with auxilliries and manifold ot would be straight swap no adjustments on engine mounts and sub frame??

I just think k jets old school looks wicked when you see it in the bay but its well over 20years old isent going to be purrong like a kitteb any more is it?? Besides i broight my golf in all intentions of putting a more modern engine in..

Simple answer is that if the K-jet is set up properly it is a strong set-up that has good power delivery.  A poorly set-up system is as above, poop. Lots of guys running ABF on K-jet and having had both in the past the K-jet done right is both period looking and miles better fun to drive
