Gave my car its regular wash and I have to say that I'm mighty impressed with the way the ceramic pads have preformed with the smallest amount of dust they produce - very slight whitish dust that comes off with minimum effort - just wish I could justify changing the nearly new rears to the same ceramic pads plus getting rid of my rusty looking hubs on the rear discs - only surface brown but they catch my eye now the fronts look so good - toss up between the cost of new Zimmermann discs or the cheaper but more fiddly option of removing and painting.

I manage to do my disc hubs in-situ. Take care with the spray can and have a paper towel handy to remove overspray. Ceramic pads look like a good move when replacing. Do you notice any difference in pedal braking pressure?

I thought they felt better at the final bit of pedal travel but that could just be because they were new - certainly not worse - I did it mainly for the low dust but now I've read about ceramic pads then they do seem a good option over the standard - main are Ate pads.

I did want to take the discs so I could give the hub/calliper/splash plate a good clean plus touch-up any corrosion but with the weather changing I probably will do the quickest option just to make then look slightly better.

Went back home, managed to give the TCR a deep clean after 7 weeks. Looked fantastic for a few days... Just made it back up to Scotland, picked up a friend from the train station and now plastered with grime again
