Bit of a fail today, I ordered the wrong headlight bulbs (H7 instead of D3S) and didn't realise changing the bulb required the headlight unit coming out.

Edit: After mulling it over and watching a couple of YouTube videos I bit the bullet and got the bulb changed over today. In reality it wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be. Satisfying not paying any one to do it too. The YouTube video I followed is here which lists the tools you need.

Replaced the original front brakes with Clubsport S discs and Ferodo Performance pads. Good initial feel but still bedding the brakes in. I know the discs are crazy expensive now but I really like the look of them and wanted to improve the performance (a little) and stay OEM.

Where did you get the CSS discs from? I think I will need to change mine in the next 6-10 months, so have started to keep an eye out for any deals.....if they exist!!

Progressive Parts - great service every time I’ve used them. £506 for the pair. You can get them a little cheaper on eBay.

Last weekend I also did my front discs and pads following the wear light coming on and then being bombarded by my dealer saying I should book it in.

Bit the bullet and decided to do them myself. Slightly different route but as my original discs have lasted 6 years I knew it was now or never to get something I've fancied, I went with Zimmerman perforated Z coated discs and Ate ceramic pads (less dust I hope). Gave myself all day to do it and gave the calipers a really good clean and servicing. I must have hit Autodoc at a good time as I got the discs for £82 each and pads for £113. So far so good, feels good no horrible noises.

Now makes the rears look like they could do with some loving!

Spill the beans...... Having "sold it", have you bought something else in place of the TCR?

It's not done until it's on the drive but I have paid a deposit on a nearly new Clubsport. I only wanted to sit in one but one thing led to another then post test drive we got to talking numbers and they offered me far far more for my TCR than I could've ever imagined such that I couldn't say no. The weird thing was the original owner of the car I'm buying was the original owner of the TCR and he wanted to buy it back! He was a serial buyer and the dealer gave him a call to seal the deal.
