Are these 18” silver Prets?
CM or VW? How long have you had them?
I notice you have a TCR lip spoiler. V subtle.

CM 18" Prets, Hyper Silver. They're about 8months old, been on the car for about 3 months. TCR lip spoiler is from AliExpress, was about £60 delivered. it's not perfect, bug you really can't tell until you are up close..

Thanks. Happy with the CM Prets?

I bought my OEM TCR lip spoiler before alternatives were available. It’s a perfect fit…..but so it ought to be!!
I love how it gives a subtle kick up to the profile.
So subtle in fact that 5 years on my wife has yet to notice.
The other discreet TCR change I fitted was the red-ringed centre caps which just lift the Parkers and nod to the red callipers.

Went to try out a MK8 CS today, honestly, I wasn't hugely blown away. I kind of expected a bit more in terms of refinements and driving dynamics over my 7.5 PP. Got my eye on a TCR which has a nice spec which is starting look more and more tempting.

Went to a little town co-op and parked away from anyone.

Came back to find a VW UP clinging to my car like it was its best friend.

Entire car park to use, WTF...

I had a 7PP and the TCR felt a worthwhile step up. Perhaps for you less so given you have a 7.5 but the engine for me is so much better. Less low down talk (which is good as less slip and no wheel hop) but when it kicks in it just keeps giving and feels a lot stronger. Horses for courses but I much prefer it.

Yeah, they are really good. Great finish. I do need some news 56mm centre caps, the ones I've got a really poor quality...

I think I need to go and have a look at one and a good test drive to decide if its worthwhile parting with the extra pennies. What I'm realising more and more is that there's nothing else new or newer that's really interesting on the market (to me anyway).

Obviously I can't speak for you but I thought it worthwhile and I'm a right old tight ar$e! Agree entirely about finding something else newer, I've been considering a change for a while and at the moment have it down to either a TTS or an A5 coupe. The TT is impractical and I think I might find the A5 a bit boring. Plus having to chuck in a ton of money for something not much newer. It's a bit of a sad time for cars these days.

Rowlers, the red ringed centre caps for the Ed 40 and TCR are smaller than the caps fitted for standard GTI wheels. They are 56cm and might be a straight fit for the CMs. I can’t be certain but it’s worth checking out.
If you find I’m right please let me know.
