46mpg on a decent run. You might need a regen. Follow SRGTD’s advice - get it to normal temperature, drive at about 60mph, foot off accelerator, let it coast for about 10 seconds, repeat x10. Worked for me👍
I have actually tried this but still getting the same MPG, will give it another go. Also checked tyre pressures etc and all in the correct range.

Short journeys are a killer. My average has been below 30 for sometime now. Combination of local runs, ambient temperature and traffic. Not showing any of the usual signs of needing a regen.

I started off with the notion of just giving mine a quick wash today....anyway a few hours later I've taken the 18 inch Pretorias off and put my 19 inch BBS CI-R's on, and gave it a single stage polish and 3 coats of wax...

Also ordered new remus exhaust tips in chrome.

But like Toeman I'm also on the look out for a change of car, currently looking at M340d's, SQ5's and S4's and M4 Competitions'

@willni do you think you’ll shift your car on for one of the ones mentioned? I know you had been looking a set of wing backs…take it you got no joy? They have also been on my list since the start of the year as well and have a few options in mind. Just waiting on reupholstery costs coming through then make the decision.

I think this is my biggest problem, lots of short journeys. Need to get it out for a good run it seems.

No luck on the wingback front tbh, but I am actively looking at cars but hard to see anything of the required specification coming up (High specs only). As I'm looking at a 130 mile return commute for the foreseeable a big barge is looking more and more likely, still not opposed to a petrol car for the long commutes as I am a simpleton that likes a nice bit of exhaust noise

Also I think I've been bumping into you in the mornings at the cross roads between Comber and Carryduff

Good luck with whatever car you choose to go for. There must be another TCR you’re bumping into in the mornings as I’m not out that direction during my commute! Rarely leave Lisburn for work!

Caught a bl@@dy rat trying to make my engine bay his new home. He's been storing food amongst the cables behind the battery, presumably in preparation of moving in. There wasn't much there so likely he started this morning. Put a load of vinegar and garlic powder along the fence line where he was coming in, hopefully he'll look for somewhere else now. Neighbours are a bit messy with their rubbish and are also probably leaving food out (they certainly used to for Mr Foxy). Will have to speak to them and get them to stop.

Potential nightmare - Peppermint Oil is supposed to be a good deterrent - you can buy sachets that you could place in the engine bay?

Indeed. Not enjoying it. I've heard about peppermint oil, perhaps if I can get a spray and cover some parts with it. I've seen that the wiring looms these days are wrapped in a biodegradeable material that is the catnip of the rodent world.
