What have I done to it today?    Got into the car this morning and found a message saying Diesel Particulate, Filter, see manual!    Never had that in 8 years of ownership of my 2016 GTD.   Had a 30 mile run on the motorway with the DSG in manual using 4th and 5th to keep the revs about 2500 rpm.   The warning icon on the dash has now gone.

Extracted the water from the rear passenger footwell!
Looks like speaker wrap had gone again...
