Not a mk7 or mk7.5, but to add to the Rotary wheel fest here’s a set on my long departed mk6 GTD (sold in 2016). And apologies to @P6GTD, no intention to try and upset you :grin:. IMHO some of the nicest 18” alloys that VW produced;

2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl

I guess that's on 19 inch wheels?

shame you can't seem to get them for 18s in the UK

Camskill tyres are UK based and have PS4S in 18” in 225/40 R18 size. Their price is for supply only so you’d need to find somewhere to fit them and budget for the fitting cost.

thanks will add to summer purchase list  :wink:

It's certainly deeper and more bassy sounding. Definately louder on cold start.

Looks great, I've got my backbox combined with a res delete too but I still find it incredibly tame compared to Mk7's. It's such a shame really, the lack of noise really does strip away some of the driving enjoyment for me personally. Which rubber mats do you have?

Thanks. The mats are from Ebay, about £40.

I found my 7.5 PP with GPF louder than my mk7 PP in standard trim, no mods.  Perhaps I have a baffle gone in the back box  :smiley:, but its definitely louder at cold start and pulling up a slip road on to the dual carriageway.

Changed front discs and pads, and boy did they need it!
