Can I ask how you got on with your windscreen protection?

I applied Galco Ultra about two months ago and as soon as I had to wipe the screen before setting off on the motorway realised it was the worst thing I had ever done..... followed the instructions to the letter and they looked crystal clear but as soon as it got salty spray on it and I had to use the wipers I had horrendous ghosting, almost made it undriveable with headlights from oncoming cars..

I've now spent the time trying to remove it with all types of compounds/clay bars to get back to plain glass.

Totally get it on the side/rear windows and mirrors but I think I stick with standard on the front.

I put G-techniq C2v3 on all my glass and I'd recommend it.

Thanks I'll check that out.

My issues have been with these glass products is that they look fine until you go to use the wipers in a horrible dank UK winter when it's just above zero and all I see is a white-out from ghosting each time the blade sweeps over.

I try a lot of brands to see which offers the best performance at the quickest application, my favourite one is actually discontinued (Autobrite Ghost Rider) well, I think they just superseded it and I haven't tried the new one (Autobrite Repel).

Currently using Angelwax H2GO, works great too with no ghosting. Glass is entirely depending on the cloths you use, I buff off with a microfibre then follow it up 30 mins later with an optical (glasses) cloth with glass cleaner.

They both offer no wiper judder with OEM blades across car brands by the way, just apply the coating to the rubber blades too.

To fully remove a coating from glass you need glass polish or a machine polisher, so either a very aggressive compound or high and passes, if you choose application via hand prepare for a workout...

But to actually answer your question, Soft 99 are crap products and always ghost due to their chemical make-up.

Nice take on the Soft99 products as they are current all over YT as being the bees knees!

It was my first try with a dedicated glass sealant, all of the positive reviews of the Glaco stuff made me swerve at the last minute as I about to buy the AngleWax product.... wish I did now

If you want great products that are consistent and will make people's jaws drop, Gyeon & Polish Angel (expensive from a commercial view).

I love Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz & Rapidwaxx (very similar to High Gloss but much cheaper), I used Cosmic Spritz as a sacrificial coat on a freshly ceramic coated C63s (Silver) prior to it going in for a service before and the comment I received from the client from MB was "Who detailed that we've never seen a silver car gloss like that", and wanted my number for detailing work.

I had a similar comment from Volkswagen with my old white silver GTD as they never saw it before either.

As I miss this forum and haven't posted for a while (as I went to dark side that was a VW Tiguan), thought I'd post this here (if it's still allowed ?)

Spent most of the weekend detailing the Tiggy as it was dry and relatively mild. Decided to do a quick photoshoot afterwards  :)
