Realised today that when my TCR was in for service I asked for the lower control arm bushes to be greased and what the dealer have actually done is grease both CV boot gaitors 😖
What a set of absolute morons.

Makes you wonder what they would have done if you’d asked them to fit new bushes; would they have replaced the CV boots?.

Agree; absolute morons. I wouldn’t be using them for any future work on a car of mine.

😂That’s beyond stupid, assume you won’t be darkening their door anytime soon?
first time I've had an issue with them but won't be going back. Very disappointing.

first issue I've had with them to be fair but won't be going back. Supposed to be getting a call from the service manager on Tuesday when she returns to work.

I note the rear wishbone bushes are easily accessible. I sprayed a maintenance fluid which stopped the typical noise. Would a spray grease be an option do you think?

Does anyone know if the front suspension shock cover (the dust cover boot thing) can be refitted insitu. Mine has totally dropped down and was wondering if it can be refitted without having to remove things?

If you talking about the plastic cover which goes round the damper I'm afraid it's a damper out job, compress the spring and remove the top mount to replace the boot/cover.

Pretty sure the dust boots can be wrestled into position without the need to remove telhe strut from the car. Would need to be jacked up obviously rather then being on a ramp

it's difficult to even see up to the top mount so makes sense.

I tried yesterday but it just kept falling back down. I'll maybe have another look when I've got more patience 😂
