Film: Rush - are you going to see it?
« on: 13 September 2013, 12:11 »
Going tomorrow night.

Been looking forward to it for the best part of a year!

Reviews look very promising, but then Ron Howard's not renowned for turning out shyte.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

I would like to see this also. I'm not a huge fan of F1 but the film looks slick and well put together. Plus it has the added bonus of Thor as a main character.

Same here. The days when F1 races were won by sheer driver talent / biggest balls. I was reading that Ron Howard approached Hunt's family about the story line in respect to his character. The family stated that it was important that Hunt's character wasn't sugar coated and that his womanising / flawed traits were accurately portraid.

I look forward to your feedback. Probably go and see it next week.

You should stay at home then.

Counting things or something.

Rocking slightly.

Empire rates it highly.

I remember the story first time round! :lipsrsealed: August the 1st 1976, is one of those days that you can remember exactly where you were at a certain point in time! Sunday afternoon watching the Grand Prix on a portable TV in a caravan, on holiday in Scotland!
Watching Niki Lauda come very close to losing his life when he crashed at Nurbergring, right in front of the camera, was very traumatic... shades of Roger Williamson who died in exactly the same circumstances only 3 years earlier are still haunting to this day, both vids are on You Tube for the inquisitive...

F1 drivers dying on a Sunday afternoon was a regular occurrence, how times have changed!

Yes I'll be going to watch the film

just made me think... if they got something that simple wrong how much of a fcuk didn't they give about the rest of the movie

generally i don't rock... dribble occasionally and start muttering to myself but I find rocking a waste of energy
