Urgent gearbox help

Hey everyone!

Do any of you know if an early mk 3 golf tdi or gti gearbox will fit 87 8v gti?

Yes should do but your need gear linkages, gearbox ,flywheel,clutch , starter motor

yes the early mk3 diesel and turbo diesel gearbox was an 020 like the mk2 gti but had longer ratios. had a mk2 gti with 2 litre bottom end and diesel box. was great on fuel and very relaxed cruising on motorways. if its the box with the green metal cap on the end then all you need to do is change the drive flanges and its good to go.
