help finding parts (mk2 16v 3dr)
« on: 11 September 2013, 13:33 »
Hi all. Wondering anyone could help me out. I have a early 3dr 16v mk2 down here in Australia and need to get a few things shipped down but am having no luck. Parts needed are

1. straight drivers bare door (early one with quarter glass)
2. parcel tray
3. ISV temp gauge
3. driver rear view mirror adjusting nob
4. interior fan switch nob
5. front black leather seat (just the padding and cover so its easy to ship)

obivously the larger items will be abit in shipping but we never got the 3dr mk2's here so no chance of finding any parts here. Any help would be great.

that's the problem with having a car that's a bit different. when it comes to getting parts. but most of them parts will be same on four door version. mk3 golf parcel shelf fits but its slighty different shape at back. whats an isv temp gauge? and is your door not repairable?

I have taken the door to a couple of panel beaters, they both said it could be repaired but would take quite a few hours to just straighten it and then its got to be sprayed. It would end up costing around $1200-$1500. Alot considering the car isnt worth a great deal. The isv temp switch is one of the spade connector temp switches on the side of the head that ive been told goes to the ISV. Mine is snaped. They dont have them listed here?? Maybe ill try a 5dr parcel tray. Thanks

5 door parcel shelf is grand. All the temp senders on side of 16v head are the same. You can use button type rather than spade if they are any easier to find down under.

Leather seat cover youd be hard pushed to find one even in uk!
