car wont start?

Long story short took the misses too hospital the day comes out car woundnt start, rings breakdown they tell me they dont no what it is  :angry: ( all he done was pop the bonnet and just look at it)

Its currently in the garage but they cant even get it started, its been scanned threw up a few codes which was on it before it wouldnt start, no new ones, changed oil sensor as that was 1 of the codes, the other 2 codes were speed sensor and camshaft position sensor, would any of these stop it starting or is it something else thanks in advance for any help

couldnt imagine them stopping it starting.
i know my cam position sensor was throwing up a code on old car, that only seemd to stop me starting it when it was warm and even then after about 10 seconds it would start...

speed sensor i would assume is the sensor on the wheels, again cant see that stopping it starting...

Thats my thought with them codes mate researched everywhere and theres nothing too say they would either, no other codes so im plucking at straws, anything common on these to stop it from starting, fuel pump etc cheers

id check the simple things first. are you getting a spark are you getting fuel is the starter motor turning etc...

Not sure on all those mate as its in the garage i would have thought they would have check them but ill give them a ring and find out now cheers

Just spoke to someone who works there says its not the starter and that they are still looking, its been there for 3 days and thats all they can tell me  :angry:

I had a faulty engine speed sensor on my 51 plate gti turbo its the one that screws into the block nearly your oil filter my car wouldn't start changed it for a new one all fixed runs perfect now i take it your car is a mk4 golf  :whistle:
