hi, I have a golf gti mk 4 on 3 separate occations ive left my lights on,as there is no buzzer when I open door, is this a fault or does this version not have a warning buzzer? thanks nick

Faulty door module. See if your puddle light illuminates when you open the door, I bet that it doesn't.

The red/white light on the bottom of your door normally lights up when your door is open

yeh puddle light on drivers door comes on but not on passenger door

That's odd, a non-working headlight buzzer normally means a faulty door module. A faulty door module basically means that the car doesn't realise the door is open so doesn't sound the warning buzzer, if the puddle light it working then door module might not be at fault.

Open the door and put indicator on when ignition isn't on. Will put on one side lift. See if it buzzes then.
