need help with R32 mods for a 1.8T
« on: 09 September 2013, 15:08 »
hi all,

my friend has a 1.8T mk4 and hes been looking for some R32 interior parts for a while, the brushed metal door inserts and dash bits. think the cheapest weve found is £200! anyone got any cheaper options for the same sorta look?

also hes looking for an R32 exhaust back section, hes found a miltec one i think but are there any cheaper manufacturers that do this exhaust for cheaper? i know you get what you pay for but parts are so expensive for mk4s! i have a mk3 and the difference in cost for parts seems to be quite a lot.

thanks for any help guys.

Cheapest option for the trim is to vinyl wrap it silver or carbon loads of guides on how to do it and many guys on here have done it!! As for the exhaust check eBay and the classifieds on ukmk4s often are r32 1.8t exhausts on there

Net Optic trim from some Bora's can be sanded down to give the brushed aluminium look like R32 trim. I did it to mine:

As for exhaust, second hand Milltek or a custom system are your options

I hate the fact that everyone sands down bora net optic trim to get r32.  I think the net optic is a lot better. Especially the silver/grey net optic from the us cars. I'd proberbly swap my r trim for it.
