VirginVWman: Was it a huge difference from GTD to DTUK GTD? Had a Mini SD (140ps, I believe) try their luck 3 times to get past me on the A19 this morning before finally managing it when I slowed to take a sliproad off and they were staying on. There wasn't as big a gap between us in from 20 to 50 as i'd have thought there would be, but as soon as I hit 3rd (and presumably they did too, on an uphill stretch), it was like they'd stood still, until I eased off and let them catch me up (three times, just for fun, once after having to slow for a wagon overtaking the other).
There was a fair bit actually. I noticed it more in 4th gear coming across the Forth Rd bridge where it turns from a strict 50mph to a supposed lenient 50 mph zone where people sit at well...70+ lol. He booted it in what i expect was 4th and so did I, he must have been shocked when i was up his arse from about 3 car lengths away initially then having to tap the breaks before i was on top of him. Very very tempted to try 4+2 to up the severity of the acceleration in the lower gears.
Ha love toying with others. Guy in one of those sporty looking smart cars up my arse trying to get past me in a 30 coming up to a 60. Sat at 33mph in 3rd (pretty much right at where the car flys at 2,300 revs) until i hit the 60 and booted it. I win...you fail ha
