Saw a white GTD on the A1 going northbound past Stevenage on Friday, driving at 60 mph by some old gran

Then saw my first GTI last night - around the corner from my house (boo, I like being exclusive) in white - looked the nuts to be fair, was being driven by an older gent (mid 50's I reckon) with the standard wheels.

Now you mention it, more often than not when I've seen one it's been driven by the more mature individual shall we say . Giving us young drivers  a bad name

Apologies to my twin in GTI form that I totally smoked off today on the M2 in Belfast. Go on the GTD'ers!!!

LOL you know my GTD has really come to life since I changed how I drive it. It urges you to drive it like a petrol car and it flies! The M2 has also become my playground!

Same here - sports mode and rev it!

Glenshane is my playground. I reckon you could easily do 130mph going up it if you tried with a clear road, not that I'd ever do that - I'm always legal of course, dare to think what you could do heading down it!

Yep - got to punish it a little - keep it between 2100 and 4000rpm when you  want to shift, as opposed to the 1700 to 3300 optimum range of previous TDIs. Haven't seen any worse mpg for treating it a bit meaner.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
