Think I might have seen andyk11 's red gtd just south of dorking on the a24 on Saturday.  I was riding my bike in the other direction.

If it was around 4pm that was probably me   I was heading south towards Horsham around that time with the inlaws and a pregnant missus so would have been driving quite sedately!

edit: btw when are you expecting delivery of your GTI?  I live just outside Dorking and haven't seen another GTD/GTI around here yet.

Spotted a black 5 door GTD on Wednesday at 1231 roundabout, had a little beep of the horn and an acknowledgement.

Last night in Sainsburys in Team Valley had a white 5 door GTI park up next to me too. Looked good with the Santiago's and Leather.

Don't know if either driver is on here.

Not a spot of a MK 7 but just something i wanted to add anyone with 54 plate Golf TFSI in Baldock area on here met it twice on journey home from work it seems to have that more extra push then my Mk7 not sure if remapped?

My GTI can keep up with it on the straights he ultimately better driver then me i still take country road corners like im driving my ford focus  probably because not using manual on DSG but im in sport but it highly annoying i was expecting to definitely get quite far ahead but it keeps up with me.

Saying that i dont think whoever you are taking over line of cars going up a hill is the best thing to do i will drive fast but not stupid.

Are we taking the A505?  I go past Baldock every day, can't say I've noticed any Golfs keeping up with me, hope I run into this chap (not literally ) as remap or not he ain't getting past me

I will say that Thursday night a Golf TSI wouldn't get out of my way coming up to the first Royston roundabout - was a try hard - suffice to say when he finally moved into the empty left hand lane 3rd gear was enough to put him in his place even though he was clearly ragging his engine

Spotted a beaut today.

Just saw the back off it, and could easily see the reg and the 'GTD' badge.

Only clocked the reg quickly, and then got stuck at the lights so I couldn't get a picture.

Reg was, believe it not, '"1 VW"

Is that anyone on here?
Recently sold my GTD.

Haha i am very surprised about this Golf seen it twice now coming from Baldock going into Cottered / Buntingford / A10 somewhere i have to turn off it got some power that why i think it remapped or some work done to it but it looks standard.

Whoever it is, is a good driver but reckless he wanted to lose me anyway he could and so he pulled out took over cars on hill which i thought was mighty dangerous as if anything coming over hill would of hit him no doubt. (it dark i know but still)

I know the road Bingham. If he does it every day (like I used to years ago) it's a cracking road to drive & plenty of opportunities to overtake and pick up some speed over someone even if his car is underpowered compared to yours, IF you know the road very well which he clearly does - but I certainly wouldnt drive like he is because it can be a dangerous road too. Clearly he's a bit of a nob - I'm always up for some fun but I won't take risks like he clearly was - not worth killing someone over so you're wise to not get involved! I would imagine he's just jealous because you have a shiny new GTI and he has a 54 plate sh!tter!!
