If this is your GTI/GTD...

...on the back of the transporter (behind the Touareg), delivery may be delayed by an extra day or two...



On another note, I'm going to test-drive a Mark 7 GTI this weekend. I'll be interested to hear what they say on lead times and what kind of discount they can offer. I'm also considering the new Octavia vRS & the BMW 1 series.

I'd be surprised if you can get a gti in your own spec before Christmas.

even 21 weeks is taking the p4ss. it'll be 25 at the earliest before mine comes. worst experience buying a car ever which won't be repeated.

I have to agree, nearly half a year from ordering a VW Golf until actually getting the car is just ridiculous! I'm sure mcmaddy, you are like me, and getting fed up with people asking you when you're getting your car! Even my mother with dementia wonders why I've not got it yet!

You would think vw would learn as they pissed off lots of owners who waited for the mk6 the same way 7 months was the wait there for a while.
One way of changing the owner demographic I guess by making people never buy one again. Lol.
