keep badgering and asking its he only way. VW UK are useless and not much help at all so your dealer should know everything anyway.

Guys call the vw executive office the number was posted by matchboy on the ship tracking thread. They don't like ppl calling it. Just make up some crap and say I am now looking to escalate this to a complaint. They will look into it. It's what I did. Your bw36 and it's been 3 weeks if I'm right that is a joke.

I spoke to VWUK yesterday about my BW35 and why it's been stuck at port for 8 days now and why the delay in my build. Regarding the build they gave me their 3rd different excuse to why it was delayed (had the factory shutdown, hailstorm and dynaudio). As regarding the wait at port they said it can be sat there 1-15 days and I'll just have to wait for a ship!! Just getting sick and tired of the wait now and the bull#hit responses from VW.

MY dealer told me yesterday my car is finally built and in transit.  If it makes the ship on October 1st I could get it in 2 weeks time.  However if not, I am unsure when it will turn up?

A word of advice to those that are unsure of their cars progress.  Keep pestering your VW Dealer for info on the progress of your car.  It is the only way of finding anything out.  My car was built and in transit this week but the tracker was still saying Build in Progress until today when it changed to In Transit.

It looks like you and I are in the situation. I too was b/w 35, however my car was not started until the 14th September and finally complete on the 17th. It has now been at Emden since the 19th. I also gave VW a ring yesterday to be given the same excuses as you. The DynaAudio thing just does not hold water, as I don't have that specced. I can't accept the factory shutdown explanation either as this will have been planned well in advance. In any other industry if you say you will do something by a set-date and time you deliver, if not you inform the customer and make amends...VW just appear to shrug their shoulders. I was so angry after the call that I serioulsy considered cancelling (although I realised later I wouldl be cutting off my nose...)

As of today that is exactly 20 weeks since my order and it took my call to VW to get them moving on a courtesy car.

Like most here, it's not so much the delay (which may or may not be VW fault), but complete failure on VW's part to keep me up-to-date, and treat me like a customer who has spend the best part of £30k not 30p.

I see that there are a few ships due in Emden over the next few days that appear to be going via Grismby and Sheerness...Nektar Highway, Viking Espernza, Autorunner....let's hope we see some progress soon.
