£250 of M & S vouchers, free paint protection, luxury mats and a bottle of champagne, pretty happy with that lot. I must have one of the better dealers.

Bloody hell, that's a great result! Lovely looking car by the way

I have to admit it's hard to keep a positive attitude about VW when you read all the horror stories on here. I'm quite lucky because they've given me an estimated date that's super close, so as soon as they go over that (I'm almost certain they will as it's due in just over 7 weeks and the car doesn't even have a confirmed BW as far as I'm aware) I'll be looking for some kind of sweetener to stop me going elsewhere.

Interested in your "Luxury Mats" addition.  Are the ones that come included with the GTI not luxury? Think decent mats make a massive difference to the overall feel of the car, so will want some of those myself.

Mate that's an impressive car and an impressive list of sweeteners. As I read on I half expected to find that they had paid your mortgage off too.

I doubt i'll get anything if I go by the amount of headache I have given them.

Did you have a compromising pic of your salesman with the lass in admin as well as his wife's phone number?

The standard mats are sh!te - very thin and not even a Golf logo on them. I would've made better ones out of a pair of "contractor quality" carpet tiles.

That is a bummer, the ones in my Scirocco are really nice.  Seen the previous discussions on here that there are no specific GTI mats, which is a shame.  But will probably get some luxurious golf ones to replace the standard issue.

The standard mats are ok. They'll certainly do a job over winter and I will be holding off buying any luxury ones until spring next year
