I'm doing the same thing at the end of September mate. I'm a bit nervous as I'll be driving a LWB Transporter, and biggest I've driven is a Caddy.

I drive these often:


Just without the windows in the back.

Don't drive it any different than a Polo or something, you'll get used to it in no time just maneuvering is the thing to learn.

On those dailys the back swings out a lot when turning so watch for that.

In the wet you can get the older one PROPER sideways.  These ones are all twin wheel base at rear so they drift easy.

True. I could just read through all of Barrys previous posts to read the same old drivel...

When reversing etv you want to get the back wheels to the edge of say a corner and then turn. Just watch the back swinging as mentioned.

Reversing when maneuvering IMO is easier than trying to turn while going forwards.

I once drove down Brick lane when I was 18 in a "Luton big box" Saturday night lovely expensive cars parked both sides, smaller gap than my big box.

Next Saturday strange no parked cars down that particular lane weird that! 

Moral of that story: Pull your wing mirrors if they have been fitted Dumbo wing mirrors.
