New Boots
« on: 01 September 2013, 07:32 »
Morning Gents,

The time has come to replace the tires on my GTI.

I've shortlisted the Michelin Pilot Sport 2s or 3s.  What is the difference between the two and which would suit me best?

Living in Dubai it rarely rains, so dry conditions and generally good road surfaces.

Thank you

I don't have any experience of Michelin's on my mk6 as it still has the original Bridgestones on it, but Michelin Pilots will be on my shortlist, along with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's and Continental Sport Contact 5's.

Lots of useful information, including tyre tests and reviews by owners at tyrereviews.co.uk. Link to specific PS2 and PS3 information below;

The PS3s superseeded the PS2s.

Michelin don't make the PS2s any more so not sure if you can still get them. any about are probably old stock.

Thanks.

I thought the pilot SuperSports replaced the PS2's?

I used to have PS2's on my Clio 182, which were then superceeded by PS3's both were great tyres.  Didn't think they made PS2's anymore though?

Dunlop Sport Maxx RT.
What he said. Due to put these on shortly. BlackCircles reviews and data have them as quieter than the PS3s as well.
