mk3 gti oem spring lengths

hi guys,does anyone know what length standard front and rear springs are on a 8v gti?The reason I ask is because ive been given some lowering springs but don't know how much drop they are.Has anyone got a set they could measure??

How can you tell until the springs are loaded?

They could be the same length but softer springs or shorter and much harder.

I don't believe that you can accurately compare two unloaded springs.

I see your point but just thought that they would be shorter unloaded/loaded.

nope. unless you know what spring you have then there is no easy way to find out. but they so easy to fit you could just try them on and stand back and tilt your head from side to side lol.
