Fitting a milltek to 1.8t
« on: 28 August 2013, 14:41 »
I hope this doesn't seem like I'm asking a question that I've already answered but I've searched and couldnt find anything useful.

At the weekend I bought a second hand cat back system for a bargain price. Just gone and had a look now to set about fitting it and it has all clamps to hold the 3 pieces together but nothing for attaching to the cat.

Am i right in thinking that I will need a 2.5'' to 2.25'' reducer/ joiner to mount the milltek to the existing cat/ downpipe and then 2 clamps to hold this in place?

If this is the case does anyone know where I can get it all ASAP to get it all fitted, as now it's in the garage I want it on.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Mike.

You will need a reducing sleeve as you said in your first post, most custom exhaust places should be able to provide you with/make you one.

Thanks guys!

I've found a decent custom shop nearby, so I'll give them a ring tomorrow see when they can sort it for me.
