I just can't understand how I am still at 3 weeks on a build week 33 if you are at 10 days on a 36.  I'm pissed off!

You need to call the VW EO mate as I was BW33 and mine wasn't built till BW35 and I've got mine - you should have had yours by now.  Speak to David Townend, he sorted me out.

Sorted me out I collect tomorrow.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is VW EO?

It's the Volkswagen Executive Office - they're the next step up from the VW Customer Services ie. they deal with complaints!

Just spoken to customer services and they confirmed that the information that my dealer gave me was incorrect.

My car arrived in Emden on the 11th September but has yet to be loaded on to a ship and therefore I should not expect to receive it for at least another 2-3 weeks.

Wish I had not made the call now, I was already in a bad mood.  I think I must be one of the most delayed people here - I feel like a total wayne kerr.

Autorunner arrived in Sheerness today at lunchtime. Wonder if any of our cars are on that?

Ok, so this may be a bit of a selfish post, but as my GTD went to 'In transit' yesterday, I have a new found sudden interest in the ship tracking website previously posted. I looked at it then (about 4 weeks ago) & being honest I had no idea how to find out which ships were going where & leaving when!!

Am sure quite a few of you on here have been through this process so can anyone help me out?

I live in Hamilton Scotland, but ordered my car through my works car leasing scheme with Lex. The dealership they nominated to buy the car on my behalf was 'Listers' of Worcester. So I've really no idea where ther ship would dock either?? Would it be Hull or Southampton???

Even looking at the ship tracking map just looks like the start of Dad's Army to me!
Any help would be greatly received

Autoprestige has left Emden today bound for Sheerness and Weser Highway has also left today, bound for Grimsby. Not sure where a Worcester bound car would land, but I'm hoping (probably in vain) that mine might be on the Grimsby bound ship. It doesn't seem to have been on the other two Grimsby bound ships in the last few days.

In terms of working out how to use www.marinetraffic.com, you need to click ports at the top, then search for Emden, then you can see vessels in port, those arriving, those departing etc and then click on the ships. Its a case of experimenting and getting to know it really and knowing which ships to look for. Some of the "usual" candidates  have "Highway" as their second name, and some start with "Auto". Hope that helps.
Arrived: GTI, DSG, 5 Door, Carbon Steel Grey, Service Plan, Winter Pack, Side Airbag, DCC (or ACC - the Adaptive Chassis thing, ok?), Park Assist, Rear View Camera

You can also searh for specific ships such as Autorunner, Autoprestige, Schelde Highway, Neckar Highway, Weser Highway (in Emden now) - there are others but I can't remember them now. I think one has the word Esperanza in the title.

Doug, Alleycat........thanks very much.

I'll experiment with the website & see what i can find out.
As mine only went in to 'in transit' yesterday i would think it's still on the train to Emden with plenty of other cars in front of it in the queue. Am not fussed have waited long enough and am now down to a month or so, so I'm happy. Thanks for your help.

btw alleycat, i used to live in york (for 34 yrs) where abouts are you?
