I just had a thought, do deliveries bound for Northern Ireland go on a different route or boat?

Can't imagine that they would unload them onto a transporter and drive across England to get them on a another boat bound for Ireland.

Your mistake is assuming they employ logic!

Interesting question though.

Indeed!

The tracker states the the max distance the cars travel by road is 250 miles, from Sheerness to Holyhead its about 350 miles. So I imagine it either gets a boat from Emden to Belfast / Dublin, or it transfers boats in Sheerness.

Again, logic!

It'll be on the Autorunner mate, so the tracker won't change till a day after the boat has left.  I think someone else has said that its currently in port so will leave today (if it hasn't all ready).

It is lining up to take on cars now by the looks of it.

Interesting question though.

What about Tyne or Grimbsy to Liverpool or Stranraer or HolyHead is that more than 250 miles?

I think they do land in england and are transported across but dealer would be able to confirm. Think it was mentioned somewhere before.

I don't think they could land in Dublin as there may be customs issues.

Lets hope. I'm now losing the will to live. I'm away from 27 sept for four days so ideally I would like it before then so that I can collect and take with me for my weekend away.

I hate to say it but this priority shipping bulls4it is exactly what it is bulls4it. no way some pen pusher in the UK can get your car on a boat any faster IMO.

I agree with this.  I was promised "priority" shipping and it took 12 days to get onto a boat  It was blind luck that it got onto a boat on Friday, had nothing to do with VW UK requesting it to do so.

Priority or not - you might end up on the "city of Paris" which is loading as we speak. It should have set sail before midnight, so I would expect a tracker update to "10 days" if yours made it on.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
