My dads getting to a age where just having him out in the garage standing around is a blessing never mind taking my cars to get them fixed.  Hope you remember this thread when the day comes that hes not around.

Cheers for the replies, just what I needed! Already popped to the shop and got a few john smiths for him  :grin:

Yea the car runs great, everything feels so smooth and together again!

Only thing I can fault is that it squeels a little bit when the breaks are applied at about 30%?

Pads prob aint got enought copper grease on them. Id also give him a hug :nerd:

Pull the pads out if your able and put some copper grease on the back of them.

My dad just leaves me with an empty fuel tank if i leave my car with him :grin:

Okay by the sounds of it, I've been beaten to it.

Your dad went out of his way to make the car safe, brakes aren't something you do cheaply. There is a saying "if you want something doing, then do it yourself" that way the only person you'll complain to if things go awry is yourself.

Your dad did you a favour, might not of been cheap but your dad was just being a dad - caring. He doesn't want you driving a car that can be a potential crash waiting to happen. He was being proactive in doing his job has a father.

Make sure he enjoys them beers  :grin:
