Air con advise please!

Just replaced the compressor on my 1.8t , got it charged and the system won't work, the gas has been removed now, I put a 12volt to the old unit and the clutch operated fine, how can I test the feed to the compressor with no gas in the system, I did check the fuses some time ago and all seemed fine any testing advise would be great, thanks

Might be better to seek the help of a specialist, air con is not really a diy thing tbh.
