Poop brakes 1.8t mk4
« on: 20 August 2013, 18:33 »
Right so I ve had pretty poor brakes for a while on the golf , so thought I try bleed the when I fitted new pads , basically we tried to bleed old fashioned way , and we thought we damaged the master cylinder , so fitted new , then tried old fashioned way and with vag com (bleeding abs pump) http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?p=2809478 which got a slightly better pedal but not as got as even before , I also did the master cylinder , but still crap pedal , no air is coming out the system , but I am guessing it's still trapped , the only thing I havnt done was when I was doing the bleeding I didn't have the rear raised up , would this cause this problem? (air trapped in the rear brake bias) also I didn't bleed up the clutch ,

Am I on the right track , or has anyone got any other ideas?

use pressure brake fluid changer (they are cheap.) and purge ABS unit with VCDS....  pumping break pedal is old school for a reason....
