Boot Liners
« on: 19 August 2013, 10:58 »
Anyone getting any of the boot liners to protect their carpets in the hatch?

I need to get one, as my 12 year old Lab travels in there. I don't need any kind of dog guard, but do need something to stop him scratching the top of the rear bumper and also to stop his 'funk' from messing up the carpet. This one seems ok (VW Part: 5G0061210), if a little expensive. Reversible so I could use the rubber side for him. Has a fold out flap to protect the bumper:

Another option would be to get a regular boot liner (VW Part:5G0061161) and have a clear protective film fitted to the upper section of the rear bumper.

Any thoughts?

I got heavy duty boot liner from Costco  £12  then used some Velcro to attach a piece of thick cloth to  it
Then use the cloth to protect my bumper .

Thanks, the pics from his younger days. He's 12 now and looking a bit more 'mature'  Such a lovely dog, soft as you like.

Check these guys out, I wouldn't buy anything else. These are super durable and have easily accommodated our bullmastiffs:-
