Black roof spoiler on red 35 edition
« on: 19 August 2013, 10:09 »
My plans for my car is a-
Stage 1 apr remap. I have an apr agent on my doorstep and are very reputable so I've chosen an apr remap for the added extras it gives you and convenience of having a local tuner to do it. A miltek catback with 35 edition tips. And future mod is the vwr intake with engine cover mod.
I've also been thinking about changing the rear spoiler colour to black!! Has anyone done this?? Also would appreciate some thoughts on this.

Personally doing it all black would look awful, however, I'd consider doing the underside gloss black like the mk7 as it makes it looks less bulky

Black would make it look like you'd had to replace your original one, bought a cheap one off ebay and never got round to painting it the right colour.

Personally I think that any mods carried out on ED35's (ED30's, Pirelli's and Anniversaries for that matter) should be easily reversible. One day, those cars will be far more appreciated if they are in standard form.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Totally agree with you one this, whilst our Pirelli needs some tlc its original and everything on the 35 is reversible and stock parts retained

i would consider getting the rear diffuser painted as just makes the car cohesive

That's a relatively inexpensive piece of plastic trim that just clips in, so easily reversed in the future. Do it.

I have had my tornado red gtd spoiler wrapped in 3m carbon effect black.  After having it done I would personally advise you to leave it totally standard. Good thing about my wrap is that it SHOULD come off without any trouble, finger crossed. Will post a pic just so you have a rough idea of what it may look like

Looking at some other options and I've come across the OSIR rear carbon valance. Has anyone on here had any experience ordering from osir or parts4euro.com??
