He took it trialing at the weekend and broke it.

Sheared two (probably original) transfer box mounts.

This is usual for a vehicle that's been pottered about in all of its life and then gets thrown at a wall or two of sandstone.  :grin:

Transfer box mounts replaced last night with nice cheap-assed Land Rover mounts.

They just bolt right up, which is nice.  :grin:

It might not have been me who broke it, it was driven by 2 in the trial and you took it on rescue duty  :rolleyes:

the he broke the front end towing point trying to get help me out



and trying to get back out here




which turned into a 2 vehicle recovery  :whistle:

Replaced the transmission mounts that broke with Land Rover ones for about £2 a go.

During the recovery in the last post we also pulled off the standard recovery point on the front, so that needed to be replaced:



Including welding around the crossmember too:



Performed well as a tart during a recent gymkhana, although now needs a new clutch friction disc at least!

oh great for the purpose it was bought, just not my back  :lipsrsealed: :cry:

add in I have committed to attending my daughters boyfriend race events this year so it wouldnt get used anyway.  :whistle:

Sold on to enjoy the off road parts of the IoW  :smiley:

Next up, to buy a mobile bed to visit 10 racetracks of England this year  :grin: :laugh:
