What build week were you norbeck?
I thought he was BW33.
Do you trust what it is telling you Norbreck? Mine still says build in progress (probably not started yet).
Great news Norbreck! I'm with MH - still building (my ar7e).
How did you get it prioritised Norbreck?
Well, bit of a story. Back in April I actually ordered 2 cars- my GTD and the Wife's new Polo Blue GT. Originally both were scheduled for collection at the same time (end of June / early July) - obviously, I was quite innocent then and actually believed what VW told me. I'm now a lot wiser and more cynical

Although a couple of days after ordering, the wife's car appeared on the tracker, mine hadn't. A few calls over the next few weeks to the dealer and VW both ended with the same result - "don't panic, it's quite normal, and yes we can confirm the car has been accepted in Wolfsburg and is working it's way through the order system".
Then about 4 weeks after ordering (and still no sign on the tracker, not even a "processing your order"), I started to read about issues with Lane assist and incompatibilities with the GTI / GTD models - which, naturally I had ordered with my car, and the VW order system had allowed without complaining. Fearing the reason why my car hadn't appeared on the tracking system was that it was an impossible combination for VW, I range again the dealer and VWCS, and was 3 times assured that everything was OK and the talk on the forums was just idle gossip and my car was progressing nicely. Then out of the blue (whilst I was actually in Germany on a business trip), some 7 weeks after initial order, I received a sheepish call from VWCS to say that they had been informed that after all lane assist was an issue and needed to be taken off. Needless to say I was not amused.
It was then not surprising that as soon as lane assist was removed, the very next day my car went to "processing your order". I again called VWCS and asked if due to their incompetence, I had now lost 7 weeks of my order, to which I was told, it gets worse, we have just been informed that the car has an estimated build week on Week 44 (WC 28th October), which would have meant a late November or early December delivery.
It was quite a simple decision for me then and I told the VWCS representative, that as soon as I put the phone down on them, I would call the dealer and cancel not only my car, but the wife's as well (nearly £55k worth of cars). Well this seemed to do the trick as over the next week or so I had a flurry of communications ended up with a promised build week improvement of Week 33. I had the dealer agree in writing (underwritten by VW UK), that I would take my wife's car (which arrived on time late June), but that if my car didn't arrive at sometime in September, it would be cancelled and they would owe me a substantial financial penalty - very reluctantly they agreed. Oh, and also, I laid heavily on the fact that these were our 5 and 6th VW's, and if we were let down, we would never again step foot inside a VW dealership, and would never again own a VAG product (whether this had any real affect or not, I don't know).
So, I'm guess they are trying their best to ensure the car arrives in September to avoid the "penalties". But like I said, this could all be bullsh1t, and until the car is in front of me, I can't get overly excited.
