hah. im old and fat and went three door. lol

why? love the three qtr look as shallow as that, all the angles match and it seems to diff the mk7 a lot more than the mk6.

It's simple. If your an old git you'll order a 5 door. If your a cool, young, particularly good looking guy then it has to be 3 door

hahahaha!

I went for the 3 door because I prefer the look.. strange how much I notice since ordering that I use the back doors on my current 5 door! Hoping not to regret it!.

I agree that the 3 door looks at least a bit better than the 5 door, but not by a huge margin.  However, I know it's a pointless consideration, but I wonder how influenced people are by the lower price?  If they both cost the same, would more people go for the 5 door instead?  Dunno'

5 door for me for the practicality, as we regularly take our dog in the back of the car (shock horror), and he likes to have the rear window cracked down a little to give a bit of air flow and cool him down, something I've been unable to do for the last 2½ years in the Scirocco. Plus, I'm in the minority and actually prefer the looks of the 5 door to the 3 door.

As has been mentioned as well (and have a Scirocco know this well), the 3 door cars have huge doors which are not only heavy, but restrict getting in and out when parked in car parks etc.
