Hi I don't want to start on a negative note but I have had a mk3 golf GTI for a couple of months now and I have to say I hate it.
It all started when I had to get rid of my last car-a mk2 ibiza cupra, 16v ABF. What a car, I loved that car so much, he was my boy. Unfortunately it got past the point of fixing, I had him for almost 5 years and it broke my heart to get rid but I had to. I cried for about a week (must be a girl thing) I have never been so attached to a car before.
I then picked the mk3 up because it was a way of getting pretty much the same car but without getting the same car.
The golf is just an 8v. I have lovingly named him goofy on stilts. He had a misfire, changed the plugs and leads-still doing it but my friend said the distributor cap was away. Have ordered one of them and a rotor arm-might as well change the lot, it's half done anyway.
The drivers side window doesn't go down, bought a switch in case it's that, will try that first. If not, then the regulator. I know these are just trivial things and trust me my ibiza was practically rebuilt due to issues but they still bug me. I needed a car and this was there.
The main issue, which might sound silly, is the horn hooting when I turn the steering wheel. I am at my wits end. Disconnected the first horn just to find there's a secondary-why, OH WHY would they have 2 horns on the damn thing?
Can someone tell me where the other horn is please before I just put a match to it? I know part of the reason I don't like it, is because it's not my ibiza and I miss that car so much.
