Expansion tank sensor

Evening all
Cracking through the jobs on my 16v and having fitted a new expansion tank have found that water is coming through the sensor at the top, discovered the sensor was cattled probs over tighten by me, so replaced with a new one and seal today and its still happening going to try a new blue cap tomorrow but wondered if any one knows what the sensor should be torqued to as dont what to over tighten another sensor.

just stick some pft tape round the threads

I'd use PTFE tape - I always struggle to find PFT tape and the missing E can cause poor sealing.

 :grin:

If you don't know what we're on about it's PTFE plumbers thread-sealing tape, which you will find at any ironmongery place, or even B&Q.
