Music to drive your mk7 to?
« on: 08 August 2013, 09:42 »
Starting a topic which doesn't talk about Build Weeks, Order Trackers, Reversing Camera Delays or Otherwise Specification related!

What music will you be listening to in your new GTi/GTD (or other MK7 variant)?

Keen to know what will really benefit from being played through the Dyaudio system I've spec'ed.

Personally a big fan of Above & Beyond, so anything that they've had involvement in!

A man after my own heart!  I love Above & Beyond, their tracks kick a$$!  Anything off the Anjunabeats label always goes down well - for eg. the first track I shall be testing on my Dynaudio is Isla Margarita by Sunny Lax.  If you haven't all ready got it, I can recommend Sirens of the Sea (Remixes) - some cracking tunes on there.  Can't beat a bit of trance/vocal trance/progressive trance!

My missus thinks I'm stuck in the 90's

Sirens of the sea! Love it! :-)

I have pretty much everything from them.

On a side note, the new Anjunabeat Volume 5 is pretty decent. Listening to it currently whilst at work.

In terms of finding some good driving music I often grab the "need for speed" soundtracks as they've done all the work for you!  You have to weed out a lot of the Hip Hop and Heavy Metal though... unless you're into that kind of thing. :undecided:

I've been toying with buying that - but I may hold off until I get my car so I can listen to a new album from the off!  Yeah, I've got loads of their stuff too - A&B been going for years and A&B are still producing some awesome stuff!  If you haven't all ready done so, their podcasts are excellent (Trance Around The World stuff).

You are the first person I have ever spoken to who that has not only listened to Sirens of the Sea but has actually heard of it!!

Hehe - massive fan of Oceanlab also, but A&B remixes are excellent.

Trance around the world (now called Group Therapy) - listen to that podcast every week, at least 2-3 times! ;-)
