advice needed...
« on: 15 August 2005, 17:14 »
I recently bought a vw mk1 and have spent a fortune on it making it totally mechanically sound.
I have now run out of money and am trying to sell the car..... but unfortunately no one seems to be interested,,,,

Anyone know how much I could get if I broke it and sold it as parts? Its a vw mk1 GTi Cab. I am looking to get atleast £1500, and if breaking it up will make me get this, I will think of going ahead with this....

Please advice, as people dont seem to be buying the car....

Don't break the car if you have run out of money. Keep the car and try and save some money to do what you need to get it up and running as you want it.
Do overtime at work or maybe a second job, lol. Be patient with it.

A second vote for not breaking it. Why break a car that's in working order, IMO it's just a waste. You've only just put it up for sale so have patience. Have you tried advertising it on autotrader's website and also ClubGTI and you could try putting it on this website www.volkszone.com/vzi The last link is more air-cooled but there are a few water cooled people on there too and they normally seem interested when a cab comes up for sale at the right price.
......now officially dubless.
