Nasty looking things but they o serve a purpose, helps keep tar deposits down on doors when fitted o the front.

Done some research on the search function. Seems there not that popular and would look nasty on a cw unless they were gloss black but then they would stone chip to buggery!! Guess il have to keep up with the tar spots.

Never had a big issue with tar spots on mine? Plenty of wax and they seem to come off really easily.

Mkvikens on the front of his white GTI look fine to me. Infact I did not notice them at first.

^+1. They don't stop the car getting dirty from normal road dirt, but they do help reduce accumulation of tar deposits and stone chips on the lower bodywork, not helped by the local authority in my area spreading loose chippings on the roads at this time of year - their idea of road resurfacing (cheapskates!).

They're also quite discrete looking on a Carbon Grey car.
