Right so i fitted the new clocks that turned out to be faulty (Dodgy Ebay Sellers) but the temp gauge did work so lucky this is all i wanted from the clocks, so i dismantled both clocks and swapped the temp gauge, and job done i hope this helps anyone who has the same issue.
