I was hoping to see the same but the end of this week... without the order tracker to constantly refresh, I'm left sat at my desk wondering what it was I used to do all day before April...

Haha!

But yeah, me too.  I think I used to play around with the configurator and search for new reviews or press releases.  Ah, those were simpler times!

The tracker is great up to a point but I wouldn't trust it entirely. My car sat at in transit for ages even though the dealer told me it had arrived in the UK. He then phoned me to tell me it had arrived at the dealership and yet the tracker was still showing in transit. Next day it moved from in transit to arrived at dealership so skipped arrived in UK all together.

Still it gives you hope when you see those wee icons moving

The VW Order tracker is currently offline for maintenance, with the following message:-

Track My Order Get the latest update on your Volkswagen order

Thank you for visiting our vehicle delivery tracker. We are making some improvements to the content you see at each stage, so the vehicle delivery tracker is currently unavailable.
Please check back in a few days. We apologise for any inconvenience.

There appears to be some other changes to the VW site, so let's hope it's a little more accurate when back online! :-)

No point starting a new thread mate.

I'm not aware that VW have ever confirmed an order more than 4 weeks before.  Not to say it can't happen but I suspect your dealer means UNconfirmed BW40.

I'm still waiting for the weekly text update from VWCS before I call them.  Will be posting the result later for you chaps.  I'm not getting my hopes up but I really want to move this away from the standard operating procedure of they say "sorry still not confirmed, expect to confirm next week" and we say "ok will wait another week" and then repeat this every week.  Its not getting us anywhere.

I asked the dealer "Please let me know as soon as the build week is confirmed and order accepted by the factory."

Who Replied:-

"Order is accepted and the build week for week 40 is confirmed."

Fingers crossed he's right and has some information up and above what the tracker was showing.

There is no way he can tell you BW40 is confirmed, its too far away.  They only know its confirmed when its 4 weeks from build.  So he's telling you that its expected to be BW40, however if you have read the various threads you'll see that that means jack sh1t!  He's not lying, that just what he's been told - but its not to be trusted unfortunately.
