Cleaned bolt, oiled and left the sleeve out.
Torqued up lovely with no play or knocking. I take it the sleeve is just a guide  for fitting so is safe to leave out?
TT bushes sound good. I d like it a bit sharper on turn in really.
Thanks for your help guys

The sleeve is nessecary for std rear bushes as it is used to centre the bush. The bolt is not a tight fit through the bush and hence
the arm will move under load albeit only a few mm.

As said prev, if you use mk1 tt bushes you do not need the sleeve to centre the bush

alternativily just trim the sleeve so it sits flush with top and bottom of bush.

I think it's one of those things that got revised, which meant the sleeve became unnecessary.  I've tried fitting them with replacement bushes and not been able to either get the sleeve in, or get things tight.  The TT bush takes all of this away anyway, as you've pointed out :)
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
