H&R cup kit questions
« on: 01 August 2013, 08:53 »
Right ive been doing abit of searching on spring and shock kits and even though theres little info the h&r kits seem the best option mainly recomended for the mk5/6 but I found abit about the 4 to.

Now theres the 30mm all round kit which is ok and theres the 50/40 kit which is more ideal, would the be much of a comfort change between the 2 ? As thats the whole reason im getting rid of the coilovers !

Also I presume the 50/40 kit is going to give abit of reverse rake is there anyway to get the back end down a touch with out using bricks lol

i was doing some research and have decided to go with the Vogtlands myself, i hear tell that they are used on the Nascar racers in the states and if they can withstand that punishment for that long and still keep the motorstuck to the road instead of rolling on the corners then thats good enough for me lol

...and theyre cheap as chips lol

And just to make things even more annoying the weitec 50mm kit ? Now I despise my weitec coilovers as there far too harsh would the springs and shocks be the same ?

I've got the Weitec 40mm Ultra GT kit waiting to be fitted next week, so can't yet comment on it personally, but I chose it based on a load of reviews I read on various different sites. I spoke to Damian at DPM Performance and he advised it's one of their best selling kits for the Mk4 - really helpful bloke actually, so might be worth getting in touch. I'm sure the 50mm would be the same, but the comfort is going to be slightly compromised by the further drop.
